House Flipper (The Game) Review

House Flipper is a indie game released on Steam in mid May 2018 by developer Empyrean. The whole objective of the game is to of course buy, rebuild, and sell houses.

You start the game basically as a handyman doing jobs for people and you own a small house (office) and start with around $30,000 in cash.

First, you must accept a few jobs from emails to obtain more money so you can eventually buy your first real house to flip. At the same time you must improve your skills (perks) so you can build, repair, and clean faster. Its a pretty cool little new game worth playing to be honest if you enjoy simulation/building games.

Warning. This game is not the most stable game because its still a fresh game that still has a lot of bugs that need worked out at the time of this post.

PROS

Fun past time away game. You can hammer down walls inside a house and build new ones the way you want them. Paint walls with paint, wall tiles, or wall covering as well as flooring. Able to buy and place furniture where ever you want. You can place light switches in rooms where ever you want. In version (v1.07) you can place plumbing (showers, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, etc), radiators, and air conditioners where ever you want, which is a plus.

CONS 

Version (v1.07) that introduces plumbing is not very stable and known for crashing. Can't do outside work such as gardening, mowing, and etc (Gardening DLC is coming). Can't place receptacle outlets in game like you can light switches. Some layouts of the game can be confusing with no proper guides. Not a whole lot of content or color options when furnishing your house. Some aspects of the game can brutally deteriorate the performance of your computer causing it to run super slow and even crash to desktop. Not sure why this is (for being a small game) but would say it probably has something to do with the Lighting in game. Turn all lights on in your house and watch your computer drag!

WISHLIST   

Be nice if you can mow grass (although that may be coming soon). It's funny rebuilding a home to sell with 3 to 4 feet high grass and whatnot around it. For a small game it shouldn't have such a impact on computer performance like it does. Need to tune down some of it's graphic handling processes. You can do this and still make a game look gorgeous. Be more realistic and allow the placement of receptacles in a home. Add for content to the game. Maybe as a DLC pack?

Overall, this game is worth $19.99 as long as it isn't crashing and so forth. The developers do offer a refund if game doesn't work on your computer and etc. So, if you like simulation/building games you should definitely give this game a try.
